About Sea Hunter
A deep sea fishing charter on the KZN South Coast, launching from Rocky Bay.
The boat
Our vessel is a 28ft Butt Cat powered by twin 200HP Suzuki 4-stroke engines, equipped with a Lowrance fishfinder and GPS. She carries a full complement of rods and reels for bottom fishing and game fishing, and takes up to 10 anglers on shared trips (6 on a private charter).

The Rocky Bay dry launch
Deep sea fishing without the wet entry
Rocky Bay's dry launch is one of the few operating this way on the South Coast. A tractor runs the boat directly into the surf. You board on dry land and step off onto the beach. It takes the physical barrier out of deep-sea fishing. Children, elderly guests, and guests with limited mobility can all experience it without any of the difficulty a traditional wet entry involves.
Our story
Sea Hunter has been fishing the KZN South Coast from Rocky Bay for years. The charter continues under new ownership, with the same boat, the same grounds, and the same commitment to putting guests on to fish.
